- How do I keep my Lucky Bamboo alive ?
Lucky Bamboo only requires water and gentle sunlight to grow> It is important the roots are covered in water at all times.
Happy Plant Tip: Use charcoal in the water to help keep it clean.
- Does my plant need lots of light ?
Not at all. That is why they are ideal plants for indoors.
- Where do I keep my plant ?
Our Happy Plants and Lucky Bamboo thrive near filtered sunlight. Just make sure they don't catch cold.
Can I keep my plant in an office with air conditioning ?
Absolutely.
- Can I keep my plant in the bathroom ?
Yes, they love steam.
Hot Feng Shui Tip: Make sure you keep the toilet seat down, you don't want all that luck flushing down the toilet - now do you!
- How do I make my leaves shiny ?
Dust the leaves gently, then spray with fresh water. A light spray of white oil on the leaves every couple of months also produces a shiny effect but don't overdo it or you may suffocate your plant.
- Why are my leaves going yellow on the end ?
Your plant is telling you something ! ! !
Check your plant is not suffering from 'cold trauma' and needs to be moved to a warmer part of the house or office.
Ensure the roots are covered with water.
Treat your plant's water with a single drop (and we mean '1 drop !') of dettol to kill any bacteria that may be effecting the roots.
Can I cut the yellow off the leaves ?
A gentle trim of any yellow plant tips is fine, however if the stem is also going yellow it could be a sign that your plant is dying and you may need to replace it.
- Can I reuse or keep using the water crystals ?
Yes you can, just add fresh water to rehydrate the crystals. They should last up to 6 months. Visit our store to purchase.
